Flashback

My favorite cartoon in 5th grade was Star Blazers. I watched it every weekday afternoon on Channel 56. It never seemed strange to me that the rough and tumble non-Asian crew (do you remember the sea-salty, caucasian captain?) traveled through space in a JAPANESE battleship. Enjoy the theme song:

Yawn

Did anyone else think the Ghost Hunters Halloween Countdown was lame? Let’s show reruns and highlight a new GH show starring Steve and Tango getting butch with a bunch of  college students. LAME!

snoring

This is me watching GH's Halloween Special

The Ghost Adventures live show was much better even though the threesome couldn’t keep quiet to save their lives (or hear the dead).

I love this commercial

Everytime this Ally Bank commercial is on I chuckle because of two reasons. One: I think the boy is adorable in a chunky sort of way. I love how he pushes down on the truck with all his might that one of his legs kicks back to give him more power. Just a kid unabashedly enjoying himself. Two: When the adult takes away his toy, the boy says under his breath, “I want the red truck.” Such a cool little act of defiance that I always say it outloud along with the boy.

Worst Show on T.V.

Whenever I visit my folks it’s inevitable that we end up watching at least two episodes of, in my humble opinion, the worst t.v. show, Two and a Half Men. At the end of every episode I feel like I lost 30 minutes of my life. The dialogue is inane, every story has a sexual theme or subtheme that’s suppose to be funny and witty but just comes off as lame and immature.

Sorry for the little rant but everytime I see Two and a Half Men, I think of the t.v. show that’s aired a few times throughout the movie RoboCop. You know it’s a different episode but the show recycles the same punchline, “I’d buy that for a dollar!” And the movie’s baddies laugh hysterically everytime. Sheesh…has it come to this already?
